  • Matt Wieters and Daniel Aldridge were named tournament MVPs in Perfect Games Wood Bat World Series
  • A Diamond Devil team has advanced to the championship round of every Perfect Game national event in the past 10 years
  • Former Diamond Devil Matt Wieters (Georgia Tech) was named the 2008 Minor League Player of the Year, and the 2006 ACC Player of the Year
  • Former Diamond Devil right-hander Daniel Bard (UNC) started the National Championship game against Oregon State in 2006
  • Former Diamond Devil Brett Anderson is the College of Charleston's career home run leader
  • Former Diamond Devil David Marchbanks (USC) was the SEC Pitcher of the Year in 2004
  • Former Diamond Devil Russell Triplett is now the head coach at Newberry College, and Charles Assey is now the assistant coach at Charleston Southern University.
  • Former Diamond Devil coach Monte Lee is the head coach at the College of Charleston, where Brent Walsh is also an assistant coach. Former Diamond Devil coach Ryan Mau is the pitching coach at Navy.
